    1. [S16] Film #1714519 Ventimiglia di Sicilia Marriages 1823-1840 (Reliability: 3).
#43 Marriage of Carlo Catalano and Rosa Cirrincione December 27, 1838
1838, the 23rd of December at the hour of 24 before Giovanni Santini, Mayor and official of the vital records of Ventimiglia appeared Maestro Carlo Catalano, single, 23, born in Caccamo, barber, resident of Ventimiglia, son of Maestro Salvatore, 83 (?), barber, resident of Caccamo and deceased Giueppa Agliara AND Rosa Cirrincione, 27, single, born in Ventimiglia, residen tof Ventimiglia, daughter of Filippo, 63 and Placido Barone, 60 (?). They were married December 27th. Marriage banns were posted November 25th. Documents provided to get married were birth records of bride and groom, consent from the father of the groom, something about a Giuseppe Manfre, of Caccamo, dated December 21, 1838. The first page was too fuzzy to see what it says about him, it may just be the mayor of that town that provided the documents, and the marriage banns. Witnesses to testimony are Domenico Casella, Ippolito Maiorca, Antonino Cirrincione and Giuseppe Lombardo. The handwriting at the bottom of the last page indicates it was the last record of the year.
