1900, the 23«sup»rd«/sup» of April at the hour of 9:20 in the town hall before Gaetano Morona Gulino, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Ragusa appeared Carmelo Minardi, 20, piconiere, who declares that at the hour of 22 yesterday in the home at Via Maestra #170 to Salvatora Occhipinti, his wife, age 20, was born a baby boy who was presented and given the name Giorgio. Witnesses are Francesco Puglisi, 50, shoemaker and Emanuele Bellassai, 38, shoemaker.

#317 Death of Giorgio Minardi April 30, 1900
1900, the 30th of April at the hour of 8:40 in the town hall before Gaetano Gulino, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Ragusa appeared Rosario DiGrande, 39, and Rosario Distefano, 56, gravediggers, of Ragusa, who declare that at the hour of 21 yesterday in the home at Via Maestro #170 died Giorgio Minardi, age 7 days, born in Ragusa, resident of same, son of Carmelo and Salvatora Occhipinti, both of Ragusa. Witnesses are Giovanni Iacono, 76 and Giovanni Larocca, 62.

#119 Marriage of Carmelo Minardi and Salvatora Occhipinti May 28, 1899
1899, the 28«sup»th«/sup» of May at the hour of 11:30am in the town hall of Ragusa before Paolo Sortino, Mayor and official of the vital records office appeared Carmelo MInardi, single, 19, "piconiere", born in Ragusa, resident of same, son of Carmelo, "piconiere" and Sebastiana Iacono, both of Ragusa; and also appeared Salvatora Occhipinti, single, 19, housewife, born in Ragusa, resident of same, daughter of Francesco, a piconiere and Giovanna Guardino, both of Ragusa, and they have asked to be united in marriage. To this effect I have been presented the documents described below; the marriage banns were posted, and all documents inserted into the register of the attachments of this register, and with no opposition to the celebration of their marriage, I read to them the civil code and asked the groom if he takes for his wife Salvatora Occhipinti; and I asked the bride if she takes for her husband Carmelo Minardi, and having received their positive response, and before the witnesses listed below, I have pronounced them united in marriage. Witnesses to this testimony are Giorgio Ottaviano, 48, messenger and Rosario Giarratona, 52, messenger. Banns were poste don the 14«sup»th«/sup» and 21«sup»st«/sup» of May.
