1901, the 15«sup»th«/sup» of March at the hour of 9 in the town hall before Giovanni Migliorisi, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Ragusa appeared Carmelo Minardi, 21, picconiere, resident of Ragusa, who declares that at the hour of 10 on the 12«sup»th«/sup» of this month in the home at Via Maestro #170 to Salvatora Occhipinti, his wife, age 21, was born a baby boy who was presented and given the name Giovanni. Witnesses are Giovanni Iacono, 77, blacksmith and Francesco Puglisi, 51, shoemaker.

#536 Death of Giovanni Minardi August 20, 1907
1907, the 21st of August at the hour of 9 in the town hall before Salvatore Francalanza, official of the vital records office of Ragusa appeared Rosario Digrandi, 48, and Giovanni Digrandi, 46, both gravediggers, who declare that at the hour of 17 yesterday in the home at Via Corso Vittorio Emanuele #240 died Giovanni Minardi, age 6 years 5 months and 8 days, born in Ragusa, resident of same, son of Carmelo and Salvatora Occhipinti. Witnesses are Giuseppe Cascone, 47 and Gaetano Rollo, 61, both shoemakers.

#119 Marriage of Carmelo Minardi and Salvatora Occhipinti May 28, 1899
1899, the 28«sup»th«/sup» of May at the hour of 11:30am in the town hall of Ragusa before Paolo Sortino, Mayor and official of the vital records office appeared Carmelo MInardi, single, 19, "piconiere", born in Ragusa, resident of same, son of Carmelo, "piconiere" and Sebastiana Iacono, both of Ragusa; and also appeared Salvatora Occhipinti, single, 19, housewife, born in Ragusa, resident of same, daughter of Francesco, a piconiere and Giovanna Guardino, both of Ragusa, and they have asked to be united in marriage. To this effect I have been presented the documents described below; the marriage banns were posted, and all documents inserted into the register of the attachments of this register, and with no opposition to the celebration of their marriage, I read to them the civil code and asked the groom if he takes for his wife Salvatora Occhipinti; and I asked the bride if she takes for her husband Carmelo Minardi, and having received their positive response, and before the witnesses listed below, I have pronounced them united in marriage. Witnesses to this testimony are Giorgio Ottaviano, 48, messenger and Rosario Giarratona, 52, messenger. Banns were poste don the 14«sup»th«/sup» and 21«sup»st«/sup» of May.
