    • Frank "Chick" Salanitri, age 84, of West Babylon, New York passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020. Frank was born September 24, 1936.
Frank is survived by his wife, Marie; son Joseph (Kim); son Michael; son Funzy (Leslee); and daughter Donna Cady (Joseph); granddaughter Elisabeth, grandson Joseph, grandson Zachary, grandson Michael, grandson Jack, grandson Shane, grandson Ryan, granddaughter Reed, granddaughter Sage, granddaughter Hannah, grandson Jake and granddaughter Ali. Chick was a proud United States Army Veteran and a member of the Softball Hall of Honor. His hobbies included; cars, softball, casinos, boating and golfing.

Known affectionately as Chick amongst his friends and family, Frank lived a life full of passion until the very end. From his early days as a ball boy for the Syracuse Nationals, he held an appetite for many hobbies and recreations. Chick's love for sports, from baseball and basketball to bocce and bowling, was second to none. Whether spending time out on the water fishing or watching his grandchildren sing and play sports, he carried a joy with him wherever he went.

A community man, Chick spent countless hours coaching in the West Babylon Little League and was an avid member of the Goodfellas Car Club. He founded West Babylon Electric in 1964, a legacy carried on by his children and grandchildren to this day.

Above everything else, Chick always puts his family first. Alongside Marie, the love of his life and his wife of 61 years, he raised four beautiful children and twelve wonderful grandchildren. Restless and motivated, he poured his entire soul into everything he did. The fierceness of his love and support for everyone close to him continues to live on through his friends and family today.

You're welcome to join us for his service on Friday, October, 2, 2020 at 12:30PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park to honor and celebrate Chick's life as we say our goodbyes.
