#251 Birth of Diego La Scala August 20, 1849
1849, the 21st of August at the hour of 22 before Antonino Traina, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Misilmeri, Palermo, Palermo, appeared Pietro La Scala, 30, farmer, of Misilmeri, who presents a baby boy who he declares was born to Filippa Persicano, his wife, age 26 and himself on the 20th of August at the hour of 5 in their home. They named the child Diego. He was baptized on the 21st of August in the church of Misilmeri. Witnesses are Giuseppe Sciarabba, 50, farmer and Giuseppe Schicchi, 43, farmer, both of Misilmeri.

#40 Marriage of Pietro LaScala and Filippa Persicano May 22, 1843
1843, the 19th of May at the hour of 1 in the night before Angelo Grimaldi, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Misilmeri, Palermo, Palermo appeared Pietro La Scala, single, 22, born in Misilmeri, Palermo, Palermo, farmer, of Misilmeri, son of the late Dieco and the living Rosalia LoDico, age 51, of Misilmeri; and also appeared Filippa Persicano, single, 21, born in Misilmeri, resident of same, daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Casimira Cerniglia. They were married in the churchof Misilmeri on the 22nd of May. Banns were posted on the 30th of April 1843 in Misilmeri. Documents provided are the birth records of the bride and groom, the death records of the father and grandfather of the groom and the father, mother and grandfather of the bride. Witnesses are Bartolomeo Militano, 32, shoemaker, Giovanni Di Pisa, 55, farmer, Santo Bonanno, 63, farmer and Francesco Carlino, 27, farmer, all of Misilmeri.

#59 Marriage of Diego La Scala and Angela La Barbara December 29, 1870
1870, the 29th of December at the hour of 12 noon in the town hall of Misilmeri, before Pietro Gucciardo, official of the vital records office of Misilmeri and in the presence of Giuseppe Ardizzone, son of the late Carlo, 51, and Stefano Correnti, son of the late Vincenzo, age 60, farmers, appeared Diego La Scala, son of Pietro and Filippa Cersciana, born and resident of this town, unmarried; and also appeared Angela La Barbara, daughter of Gaetano and Caterina La Scala, single and born and resident of this town. And they intend to be united in marriage. The marriage banns were posted and there was no opposition. They were read the civil codes 130, 131 and 132 and having their mutual consent, they were united in marriage and pronounced husband and wife.
